DeepSearch
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DeepSearch("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our people search service. We built DeepSearch as a research tool for publicly available web data — not as a background check or consumer reporting service.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive basic profile details from Google (such as your name, email address, and profile picture) to create and manage your account.
Search activity. We store your search queries, selected profiles, and chat history so you can revisit past lookups. Searches are private — we do not notify the people you search for.
Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. Stripe handles billing according to their own privacy policy.
Technical data. We collect standard usage and device information (such as browser type, IP address, and pages visited) to operate, secure, and improve the service.
How we use information
- Provide people search, profile generation, and chat features
- Authenticate your account and manage subscriptions
- Improve search quality and product reliability
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations
- Detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents
Public web data
DeepSearch aggregates information from publicly available sources on the open web. We do not purchase proprietary databases, access non-public records, or scrape content behind login walls without authorization. Profile results include links to source pages so you can verify information yourself.
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Do not use DeepSearch for employment screening, tenant decisions, credit eligibility, insurance underwriting, or any purpose that requires FCRA-compliant background checks.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help us operate DeepSearch:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and infrastructure
- Google — OAuth sign-in
- Stripe — subscription billing
- Search and AI providers — to retrieve public web results and generate summaries (query data is sent only as needed to perform your search)
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent harm.
Data retention
We retain account and search history while your account is active. You may delete individual lookups from your history. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
Your choices
- Access and update account details through your profile settings
- Delete search history from within the app
- Cancel your subscription at any time through Stripe
- Request removal of public data surfaced in search results — see our Opt out page
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
DeepSearch is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
International users
If you access DeepSearch from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the U.S. or other countries where our providers operate.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
